Education:
Ron received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from City College of New York Bernard Baruch School of Business in 1957. In addition, he received a masters of science in education from City University of New York in 1965.

Work Experience:
Ron began his accounting career in 1958 with a local accounting firm in New York City. He left public accounting to teach accounting at New York Community College and the New York City School System. After seven years of teaching he moved to Georgia and became President of a Georgia movie theater company. Upon the sale of the company in 1976 he returned to public accounting with the firm of Spielberg and Herman. Ron became a partner in 1980. After several mergers and relocations he is a senior partner in the Atlanta accounting firm Herman, Silver & Associates, CPAs, LLC.

Ron Herman specializes in all facets of taxation including individual, corporate, fiduciary and partnership. His experience also includes foreign sales corporations, retirement tax planning and estate tax planning.

Professional Organizations:
Ron is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of CPA’s. He serves as Vice Chairman of the Taxation Committee for the latter. Ron also serves as Chairman of the annual State of Georgia Department of Revenue meeting.

Ron resides in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife Linda.
