Education:
Mike received a bachelor's degree in commerce with a major in accounting in 1981.

He graduated from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.

Work Experience:
Upon graduation, Mike worked in the Atlanta office of Arthur Andersen & Co., an international accounting firm. Although he worked with a variety of companies, he concentrated primarily on working with small and closely held businesses. In 1986, Mike joined a client as controller and was responsible for overseeing the accounting functions of ten companies.

In 1988, Mike re-entered public accounting by joining the Atlanta CPA firm of Spielberg, Herman & Aronin. After several mergers and relocations, he is now a partner with Herman, Silver & Associates, CPAs, LLC.

Mike handles individual and corporate taxation and heads up the accounting, auditing and review services provided by the firm. He has been the managing partner since 1997.

Professional Organizations:
Mike is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is active in several community and religious organizations, where he has served as an officer and a member of the Board of Directors.

He resides in Alpharetta, Georgia with his wife Ann and their three children.
